I grew up working in this industry for my father, Mont. Over the years, I have developed a strong passion to work in the outdoors. I love working with plants and people and designing (or just improving) yards to create beautiful outdoor living spaces to help them get back outside with their families. I went to school at Utah State University and completed my Bachelor's Degree in Residential Landscape Design and Construction. I have since come back and now help my father run his business. I am loving using my degree to do what I love, working side by side with my father--a great mentor.

I started this company with my Wife, Shauna, back in 1981. At the time, we had a small, but quickly growing family. Starting a business was overwhelming to me, and being Deaf, I didn't know really how I could do it. But my approach to life and to starting this business is true hard work and grit can get you anywhere, especially if you have the support of family like I did. I have always been passionate about the outdoors and love working with my hands. I now have 40 years of experience working in this industry and counting! My favorite things to do in my field is working the maintenance side of things. That's where I find my peace and solitude--working in the dirt, and keeping the living things of the landscape healthy and beautiful.
