It is no secret that as a home and landscape ages, it isn’t entirely uncommon to find things settling. In this homeowners case, their back patio settled so the grade was pitching all the storm water runoff right into the basement. Re-pouring the pad wasn’t an option because it has a beautiful tree growing inside of it. So we cut the concrete edge near the window well to make space for a bonafide French drain system which then released the water into a dry stream bed we created just to add aesthetic interest to the space. As you can tell, it all turned out beautifully. Most importantly, the client has yet to have any flooding issues 3 years later. This is only one of many success stories we have had.
